Here we offer year round opportunities to submit your unsolicited script to the right places in many different mediums. Just find your writing medium below and see what we offer. We update our opportunities every few months so keep your eyes peeled for the latest comps and deadlines. We also have in house script reading for our subscribers so if you want your script read beforehand head over to our contact page or use your Patreon code to access a full list of our services

The BFI supports film culture across the UK. This includes investing Lottery funds in film development and production, and to increase audiences.

BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing Competition
Following a blind judging process, selected script extracts are performed by a professional cast to an audience of producers, development executives, directors, actors and literary agents, aiming to give a platform to emerging writing talent from across the country.

Even though this isnt free its a great platform to submit too and pitch your work over video. Its only £20 to submit a feature length script and pitch video and it will be considered.

Audible
Amazon's audiobook company Audible has launched a $5 million grant to commission and develop work from emerging UK and US playwrights to create one or two person audioplays.

BBC Upload
Upload is a great way to get your script into a BBC producers hands without needing an agent. Upload read every script submited and broadcast the best ones with further opportunities for those chosen.

BBC Writers Room
Rather than accepting scripts year-round in a rolling system, we have distinct submission windows for scripts which are announced on the BBC Writersroom Opportunities page during the year. Each call has a deadline, and the scripts received are assessed intensively by our script readers and the BBC Writersroom team, and a shortlist drawn up. We then offer various opportunities for the shortlisted group of writers including our Drama Room and Comedy Room development groups.
