the community story
We started this community with one goal in mind. If we could help at least one person through this blog we will have done our job right. With a growing following and many more contributors joining us we are excited to see how big we can grow for creatives of all mediums.
We wanted to create a safe fun place for people to learn from each other, to provide articles written by practicing writers of all skill levels, for writers.
Amongst all writing styles script writing is the most specialised and most unrecognised form of writing there is. Script / Screen writers are the entertainment industries best kept secret. Script writing is a skill you have to learn formally or on the job. Well here that information is free to all. We hope you enjoy our content

Kelsey Cromwell
Junior Contributor & Writer
I'm a writer in my early twenties from Manchester, Salford.
I work freelance specialising in Screenwriting for Television, Radio and Film. I have had years experience working alongside a film crew or individually focusing on set deadlines for scripts.
I have always been punctual, organised and determined to complete a script to the best of my efforts, Despite specialising in scriptwriting, my writing ability branches across various fields. I also write novels long or short and I am capable of Content Writing with experience in Script Editing.
JON HOLMES
Junior Contributor & Filmmaker / Writer / Actor
I'm a writer and performer from Bristol, England. Over the course of the last two years, amongst the comedy sketches that I have created on my Youtube channel, I have written and directed two short films. I currently write and interview for website Finalboss.io, and had a viral hit with a short that I wrote earlier this year with SERIAL CHEAT. I'm hoping through Screamwriter I can give you a grassroots idea of how to drive one's career and hopefully create your own platform for your work.

Ross Wenham
Featured Contributor. TV Writer. UCLAN MA Screenwriting
I am a passionate and enthusiastic young writer currently studying a master’s degree in Scriptwriting while finding my feet in the industry. Born and raised in Kent, I have lived in the north west for the last four years. In 2019, I graduated with a 2:1 degree in Screenwriting with Film, Television and Radio. I am also passionate about stage writing and am currently writing a social issue production for stage. Writing has always been a hobby of mine, but I really found my forte when I discovered my talents lie in scriptwriting about seven years ago. I studied Creative Writing as an A-Level and received an ‘A’ grade thanks to my scripted piece of coursework. In 2013, I was personally selected by a contact of my sixth form tutor to take part in a stage-writing competition, New Views, for London’s National Theatre. The following year, I was asked to enter once more. This time around, I made the shortlist.
